What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. We use them only to count visits, so we can see which scan prices and hospital pages people find useful. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell any data.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visit apart from another, so we can count visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_J2XXFMBNYJ | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit, such as which pages were viewed | 2 years |
Google Analytics tells us things like which pages were visited, which country a visit came from, and whether someone clicked through to a hospital website or the 10% voucher button. It does not tell us who you are.
Visitors in the UK, the EU and Switzerland
If you visit from the UK, a European Union or European Economic Area country, or Switzerland, we do not set any Google Analytics cookies. Google Analytics still receives a basic signal that a page was viewed, without a cookie and without identifying you.
Other services
Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, and the form for hospitals and labs uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. These services may receive your IP address when they load, as part of normally serving content to your browser.
How to block or delete cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site works fully without them. Google also offers a browser add on that stops Google Analytics on every site: Google Analytics opt out.
